On Monday, the court heard phone records and data retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most publicized child disappearance cases and continues to be unsolved.

'I Do Not Need Money'

One recorded message, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm fat and plain like Madeleine was, but I know what I feel."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? Then what? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a living here in Poland, I just want to discover," she added.

The tribunal was advised that via emails, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, told the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, according to the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, the father responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I won't give up and I plan to establish my claim."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg developed a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in the county in that winter.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had reached out using communication app to Mrs McCann to express the press had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be taken seriously in the time before the visit to that location, that area, in that winter.

The court was told message exchanges between the two defendants, in that autumn, discussing trying to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We need to assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the trip to their home, the defendant sent a communication which said: "We are positioned near the McCanns' house with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I had hoped to achieve this with someone else I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
